Health and Safety Information:

Due to the emergence of COVID19 in our country and the increased cases of RSV, HFM, and more, Milestones is committed to not only local and State guidelines around exposure to known pathogens, but our goals are to make sure children get plenty of rest at home, while also reducing possible exposure to other children and our staff.

Here are some documents that outline what we are doing to keep families and staff members safe.

Statement from O Street regarding building air quality

Our YouTube Channel has video tours of our locations in 2020 in response to COVID19, here!
Note that the above videos are somewhat dated.  As of this writing (Oct 2022) we no longer require masking.  Our expectations and requirements regarding PPE may ebb and flow as various illnesses spike within our community.

Milestones is committed to fresh, emergent curriculum.  Therefore, our teachers work hard to create activities that take into account the interests of the children in class.  Additionally, when children are unusually engaged, staff do not stop to move onto the next activity.  Instead, they take their cues from the interests of the children. Milestones' administration offers monthly themes for the teachers to work from.  They are loosely tied to local and seasonal happenings, and give more of a general framework from which to start.  Each teacher works to develop a lesson plan for the week based on their particular small group.  The teachers use observations, DRDPs (Desired Results Developmental Profiles, a nationally recognized assessment tool) and children's interests to plan their lessons.

We work hard to keep our parents informed of everything that goes on at Milestones.  Here is our communication policy:

Communication Policy

Children get sick.  We try hard to make sure that each child is cared for in the safest possible way.  While no one intentionally brings a sick child to care, we do ask that each parent follow our illness and medication policy.  Find it here:

We also maintain a secure Facebook page for each Milestones location for daily communication, parent coordination, reminders and pictures.  The group is locked down tight, and you can only be added once you are an enrolled family or staff member.  Please speak to an administrator to be added.
For daily communications, reminders, and more, we use the app, Brightwheel.  You will be added once your child is enrolled,

At any given time, children enroll, addresses change, information becomes outdated. Here are some documents that will help you learn more, or tell us what we need to know!
